What The Dead Men Say

Trivium released their ninth studio album, What The Dead Men Say, on April 24, 2020. It follows their critically acclaimed album, The Sin and the Sentence.

Trivium‘s 2017 addition of Alex Bent on drums represented a rebirth for the band. With the addition of Bent, there’s been more energy, intensity, and emotion in the music. This fueled the success of TSATS, but with that success comes pressure to have an excellent follow-up record.

We go deep on What The Dead Men Say in this episode. Covering some of our favorite moments. Compared to previous Trivium releases, the album has a modest runtime of 47 minutes, but there’s a ton to unpack.

Danielle and Michael cover their favorite lyrics, vocals, and instrumentals on the album. The context of the release of WTDMS is also covered. What does this album mean for the future of the band?
