Heartsick Heroine: An Interview with Hannah Maddox | On the Rocks

Heartsick Heroine

Heartsick Heroine is a five-piece, female fronted, hard rock band based out of Denver, Colorado. From the ashes of their previous band Scarlet Canary, Hannah and Allen Maddox created Heartsick Heroine in 2019.

Recently, the band released four new singles, which are featured in this episode. These include “Dead Like Me,” “Hanging On,” “Sickly Sweet,” and the world premiere of their newest track, “Voices.”

Between Scarlet Canary and Heartsick Heroine, in the past eight years, Maddox has toured across the United States, playing countless festivals and club shows. Maddox has also opened for larger rock acts including Avenged Sevenfold, Lita Ford, Stone Sour, and recently, Puddle of Mudd. This, along with recording four studio albums.

Maddox joins Mark Radlund to talk about the Denver music scene, opening for Avenged Sevenfold, and playing in a band with her husband. Additionally, Maddox discusses her podcast Don’t Fall Asleep, the common Lizzy Hale comparisons, and Heartsick Heroine’s excellent cover songs.
