Top 5 Stories of 2020

Mark and Nate reveal the top 5 news stories from 2020. Please keep in mind, these top 5 stories were hand-picked to fit the mold of the On the Rocks universe.

Were there other larger news stories this year? Sure. There was thing called the Presidential Election that happened a month ago that received a fair amount of buzz. Spoiler alert: We are not discussing that topic. Read your cess pool Twitter feed if you want further information on that storyline.

Speaking of spoiler alerts, the guys dig into Dave Grohl and Nandi Bushell’s ongoing drum battle, Tiger King, and nostalgia coming to the forefront of rock and roll this year.

Additionally, there were some heartbreaking celebrity passings that occurred in 2020, as well as Covid-19 canceling every live event under the sun. All of this is covered in the episode and more.

This time of year is exclusively for Year in Review lists and that is exactly what we are providing you with here. Sit back, relax, and reflect on some of the major stories from the past year.

If you are still reading up to this point, thank you. You can stop though if you have a task you need to complete or somewhere you need to be. I am merely typing this paragraph, as the powers that be force us bloggers to reach at least 300 words in order to reach full SEO optimization. Honestly, it’s totally lame why they do this. This is not a blog, nor it is a think piece. I’m not sitting in some Artisan Coffee Shop in Brooklyn typing a 5,000 word thesis for Medium on why Fred Durst’s red Yankees cap is problematic to Generation Z. I am simply typing up a primer for our latest episode.

Ok, I think I’ve reached 300 words. If you’re still reading, please subscribe to our podcast. Go to the top of this primer for the links. Thank you.
