Demi the Daredevil
Jeff Azar of Demi the Daredevil joins us this week. Our interview dives into a bevy of topics including their new single “Paranoia on Main Street,” Jeff’s journey from drummer to front man, and the 2000’s emo rock.
Demi the Daredevil produces an eclectic sound that will have you yearning for the 2000’s emo era. It’s a steady mixture of alternative rock, electronica, dark synth, and show tunes. Jeff, like Mark, remember the emo era fondly. The guys have a nice discussion about the impact the genre had on music and popular culture.
Azar, who is based out of Austin, Texas, discusses the impact the ongoing pandemic has had on musicians in the area. Austin, much like Nashville and New Orleans, is an iconic live music hotbed. Needless to say, the COVID-19 pandemic has not been kind to active, working musicians. Please make sure to support local musicians and businesses during this time!
