Interview – Wayne Ingram of Wilderun

Listen as Ty chats with Wayne Ingram of Wilderun. Wayne is in charge of orchestrations & a founding member of the band. We chat about the re-release of the band’s critically acclaimed, Veil of Imagination through Century Media Records, the 80s metal scene, the art of orchestrating, working on the NEW album, and much, much more!

The unique creativity that flows through one of the most original bands in the metal scene is reflected in one of its founding members, Wayne. I had a great chat with him. We bounced from topics such as the success of Veil of Imagination, the signing to Century Media Records, 80s/90s metal evolution, Nightwish, the art of orchestrating, and updates on the NEW album. He was truly a pleasure to talk to & very humble at that. I think that my favorite part of this conversation is that it flowed naturally from one topic to the next. I think you guys will really appreciate the ebb & flow. Thanks for joining me Wayne. Hands down, one of my favorite guests.

My call to action for this particular episode is to make sure to check out Veil of Imagination. It is one of the most unique modern metal albums you’ll hear. When you’re listening, play close attention to the orchestration that weaves in and out of the standard metal instrumentation.

Wilderun is:
Evan Anderson Berry – Vocals, Guitars, Piano
Dan Müller – Bass, Synths, Orchestrations
Jon Teachey – Drums
Joe Gettler – Lead Guitar
Wayne Ingram – Orchestrations
