20 Songs Turning 20 in 2020 | Part 2

Songs Turning 20 Years Old

This week, we once again revisit 20 songs that are turning 20 in 2020. These are not the best songs of 2000, nor are they our favorite songs. They are not confined to one genre, nor did every one crack the number one spot on the charts.

They are simply songs that had major relevancy 20 years ago. Mark Radlund is joined by friend of the program Nate Callens to recollect and crack wise on some popular tracks from 2000.

Why is “Who Let the Dogs Out” the most versatile one-hit wonder of all-time? Why was Britney Spears the worst concert Mark ever went to? Which major artists are the Red Hot Chili Peppers referring to in “Californication?” All of these questions are answered on this episode and more.

Be sure to check out Part 1 of our series, for our first ten selections.

With that, take a nostalgia-driven trip down memory lane with us. Sit back, pour yourself a glass, and get depressed listening to a bunch of songs you thought came out yesterday, but are actually now 20 years old now.

Yes, we are old.

Be sure to check out the conjoining Spotify playlist as well. Cheers, friends!
