Songs Turning 20 Years Old

This week we revisit 20 songs that are turning 20 in 2020. These are not the best songs of 2000, nor are they our favorite songs. They are not confined to one genre, nor did every one crack the number one spot on the charts.

They are simply songs that had major relevancy 20 years ago. Mark Radlund is joined by friend of the program Nate Callens to recollect and crack wise on some popular tracks from 2000.

Why did Blink 182 not have more songs reach number one? Was Eminem at his peak in 2000? What children’s songs was Nelly’s “Country Grammar” inspired by? All of these questions are answered in today’s episode, along with a fountain of tidbits.

With that, sit back, pour yourself a glass, and get depressed listening to a bunch of songs you thought came out yesterday, but are actually now 20 years old now.

Yes, we are old.

Be sure to check out the conjoining Spotify playlist as well. Cheers, friends!
