Authentic Nirvana Tribute
Tom and Taylor perform as Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic in the premiere Nirvana tribute band, Nivrana. For years Nivrana has celebrated the music of the grunge legends, boasting a live set that includes a variety of tracks from the band’s catalog. Whether they are performing hits off Nevermind, deep cuts from Bleach, or the band’s iconic MTV Unplugged set, Nivrana is a “can’t miss” opportunity for fans.
Nirvana is arguably one of the greatest bands of all-time, led by one of the most polarizing singer/songwriters. Though unfortunately short, the band has an fascinating story. A meteoric rise cut short in the prime of its career. Nirvana’s backstory and aftermath is full of interesting “What ifs,” making for a great conversation.
This episode, Tom and Taylor discuss with Mark Radlund how they pay homage to their favorite band. They will tell you first hand, it is more than playing “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and wearing flannels. We also dive into the documentaries Montage of Heck and Soaked in Bleach, the band’s recent reunion performances, Novoselic and Dave Grohl’s careers post-Nirvana, and visiting Cobain’s memorial bench in Seattle.
If you are a fan of Nirvana or the grunge era in general, you won’t want to miss this episode. Check out everything Nivrana on their website, Facebook, and while you’re at it, book them for an upcoming gig.
