According to a Non-Metalhead | Rising

This week Danielle has joined us once again as our resident “non-metalhead” to discuss her first thoughts on Rainbow’s Rising. This was the album that put Ronnie James Dio on the map as well as one of his first forays into fantasy themed lyrics. We discuss the album track-by-track along with chatting about interesting tidbits along the way. Is Rising great enough to impress even someone without a metal background!? In 1976 the iconic proto-metal band Rainbow released their greatest record “Rising.” “Rising” is consistently considered to be a influential album in terms of both musicality and themes.
